    How pricing works

What actually decides your charter price

Charter quotes are not arbitrary. Seven variables set the number — and you control several of them.

    • 1

      Distance & mileage

Beyond a local radius, operators price per mile — roughly $4.50 to $6.00 for a full-size coach. Deadhead miles from the depot to your pickup can count too.

    • 2

      Trip duration

Most charters are billed hourly against a 4–5 hour minimum. A trip with long on-site waits costs nearly as much as one that drives the whole time.

    • 3

      Vehicle type

A school bus runs $90–$150 an hour; an executive coach runs $175–$275. Choosing the right class for the distance is the biggest lever you control.

    • 4

      Driver hours & lodging

Federal rules cap driving at 10 hours per shift. Longer trips need a second driver, and overnight trips add $150–$250 per night for the driver's hotel.

    • 5

      Season & demand

Spring prom and graduation, peak wedding Saturdays and fall foliage weekends run 10–25% above baseline. Midweek travel is consistently cheapest.

    • 6

      Tolls & parking

Tolls, event parking and city permits are usually passed through at cost. Downtown and stadium parking can add $50–$200 to a single day.

    • 7

      Fuel

Fuel is built into the base rate, but sustained diesel spikes can trigger a surcharge. Ask whether your quote is fuel-locked before you sign.

Trusted by planners who book buses for a living

Event planners, athletic directors and wedding coordinators use All Bus Charter because competition wins on price every time.

    • I requested quotes on a Tuesday morning and had four operators on the phone before lunch. We saved just over $900 versus the single vendor we'd used for years — same class of coach, better driver.

Marisa DelgadoSenior Event Planner · Halcyon Meetings Group
    • Twenty-two away games a season and I no longer chase quotes for any of them. The operator we found through All Bus Charter now holds our whole schedule, and the buses show up early every single time.

Coach Ray WhitfieldAthletic Director · Northgate Preparatory School
    • Two hotels, 180 guests, a venue with a driveway that scared off three companies. The operator they matched us with sent a mini bus that fit perfectly and ran the loop until midnight. Flawless.

    Why choose us

    Four reasons planners come back

We make our money from operators who want qualified leads — never from the travellers comparing quotes.

    • Free & No Obligation

Submitting a request costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Compare the quotes, ask questions, walk away if the numbers don't work.

    • Vetted & Insured Operators

Every operator is checked for active USDOT authority, a satisfactory FMCSA safety rating and current commercial liability insurance before they receive a single lead.

    • Best Price Through Competition

Up to five operators bid on the same trip details, so you see the real market rate instead of one company's opening number.

    • 24/7 Customer Support

Our quote desk runs around the clock. If something changes the night before departure, a person answers the phone.
